“Do you know what the DK stands for? Drift King.”
Every car enthusiast knows this quote. As well as every car enthusiast knows the real Drift King - Keiichi Tsuchiya.

The legend himself earned his nickname in the 80s when he began using spectacular drifting techniques to take corners not only to achieve faster lap times but also for style and showmanship. His most famous car was a modified Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86. He also played a key role in transforming drifting from illegal touge racing into an official professional motorsport, helping establish competitions such as the D1 Grand Prix series.

Keiichi is the character that has gone down in motorsport history forever. The driving style and skills he is still displaying stir up excitement. However the most exciting thing about Drift King is the fact that we will be able to meet him in real life, see the true legend with our own eyes. What’s more, we will have the opportunity to see him racing and drifting, doing the things he’s the king of. All of this will take place during JAPFEST POLAND at Tor Poznań. The organizers made every effort to ensure Keiichi will drive the cars worth the occasion.

The first car that he will drive on Friday, which is the opening day, will be Honda S2000 Supercharged built by Jacek from Black Cartel. This special Honda was built in the spirit of Japanese race cars from Tsukuba.

Every aspect of this car aligns with the original vision behind its creation, every detail has been refined, and every modification carefully considered. With weight around 1080kg, 350 horsepower, legendary F20 engine, lightweight body, HKS supercharger and many other fascinating modifications, it is the perfect car for the first day of our special guest driving performance.

The two other cars, as befits the Drift King, will be drift cars, first of each is the Nissan Skyline owned by Samuel from Nightride. This car was built as the vision of grassroots drifting scene in Poland, powered by 1UZ-FE, 350HP and 400NM, stylish bodykit and livery keeps it in the best style and performance, so Keiichi could show all of his skills at the drift track.

The last but not least, top performance, top style, top-tier drift car - Toyota Supra built by RSD Factory. This car represents totally different side of drifting, as it was created for the purpose of competing in Drift Masters.

The heart of this beautiful beast is the forged B58 engine generating 740HP, equipped with tons of modern technology such as ECUMASTER electronics and nitrous. Kevlar body, Winters diff, BC Racing suspension… this Supra has everything that should be found in drift car and even more.
Each of these cars was created for a different purpose, in different style, with different technologies, different vision for its use. They represent 3 totally different sides of motorsport, starting with old-school Japanese race car, through grassroots drift car, ending at professional Drift Masters spec car. Even though, we are sure that each of these machines were refined down to the last detail and represent the highest possible standards. We are convinced that the Drift King will be delighted with each of these cars and will take pleasure and satisfaction in showing us what he is capable of.
The man who became a legend of this culture is here with us, ready to share his experiences, knowledge, and charisma. Japfest is an incredible place to experience, even if only for a moment, a meeting with this man — the person who helped popularize drifting and Japanese car culture far beyond the borders of Japan is blowing our minds, well...
see you there!
